In the event of a Power Outage, please do the following:
1. Check our Planned Outages to see if there is a Planned Power Outage in your area.
2. Check to see if the breaker on your transformer pole is in the “on” position.
3. Call our office 780-398-2000
4. Provide your land location.
5. Leave a call back number where you can be reached.
6. Give as many details as possible.
7. Turn light switches off and unplug extra appliances to prevent power surges when power is restored.
In order to prevent extensive unplanned outages, we must perform regular maintenance and upgrades.
We make every effort to contact our members at least two business days in advance of a Planned Power Outage for maintenance work or when new electrical service construction takes place.
When the trees overgrow into the power line, this can affect not only your personal property but other North Parkland Power Co-op members with unnecessary power outages and increased expenses.
If you notice that trees are getting close to or touching a powerline, please contact the office.
Your energy consumption is based on your electricity usage each month. In the winter months, your consumption increases due to a number of factors - increase in heating, lights, and plugging vehicles, watering bowls, etc.
In the summer months, consumption increases can be attributed to air conditioning units. By observing how to use your electricity and following a few guidelines, you can decrease your consumption each month and save money.
